ZONE MEETING
We
are hosting the Zone Meeting on Thursday, November 15th. Social
hour begins at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner at 7:00 p.m. We are
preparing the meal. The menu is beef roast and pork roast, mashed
potatoes, vegetable and dessert. We will be peeling potatoes and
baking bread on Wednesday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. We need
volunteers to make a pan of bars or dessert.
We will also need volunteers to help prepare and serve the food on Thursday.
MEETINGS
Our first meeting this month will be held on Thursday, November 1st at our Lions’ Hall at 7:00 p.m.
The meal will be Potluck.
Board of Directors meeting will be held on Thursday November 8th at our Lions’ Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Our
second meeting of the month will take place on Thursday, November 15th
at our Lions’ Hall at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be the
Zone Meeting hosted by our club. If you plan on attending the
Zone Meeting, please RSVP at our next meeting, or by calling Lion
Secretary LaNette or Lion President Gary by November 11th.

Thank you
to Lions Kathy Main, Mike Main, Renee Lahr, Julie Gangl, Gary Hagemann
and Becky Hagemann for the delicious meal on Thursday, October 4th and
a thank you to the Lions who brought the delicious food at our potluck
meal on Thursday, October 18th.
Halloween and Sight Night
The
Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, October 27th from 5 to 9 p.m.
Judging for the costumes will start at 6:30 p.m. Lion Cathy Rufer
and Lion Susie Grangroth are the co-chairs. Any help would be
greatly appreciated! Remember to bring your used eyeglasses to
the Halloween Party.
Lion Vern Lemke
is retiring from Plaisted Companies. You are invited to help him
celebrate his retirement on Saturday, October 27th at the Howard Lake
Legion starting at 5:00 p.m.
Trick or Treat Bags
Our
club purchased reflectorized bags that will be handed out to
Kindergarten, First and Second grade students at our schools. They have
safety tips on them as well as our Lions Club Name and web site
address. You can see a sample on the bulletin board. Thank you to
Lion Nancy for volunteering to get them to the school for us.
Joint Governor’s Night and Christmas Party with the Cokato Lions
We
are hosting the Governor’s Night and Christmas Party with the
Cokato Lions on Thursday, December 6th. Spouses and significant
others are invited to attend. This meal will be potluck. We
will also have a gift exchange. The value should be around
$10.00. Men bring a gift for a man and ladies bring a gift for a
lady. Please, no gifts that could be either for a man or a woman
as sometimes in the past, a man has ended up with a ladies gift or visa
versa.

attending any of the upcoming meetings.
BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEETINGS
The
Board of Directors will be meeting the 2nd Thursday of each month. All
members are invited to attend. The Board will conduct business like
paying bills, voting on new and dropping members, and requests for
donations. Most of the items before the Board will be discussed and
brought back to the Club for final approval.

Good Neighbor Days
The
bands are tentatively set for next year. The Killer Hayseeds are
scheduled to play on Friday night and High Noon is scheduled to play on
Saturday night.
Check out the new appliances in the Teen Center! Thank you to Lions Mike, Bernie, Julie, LaNette and Terry for picking them
up and installing them.
Mid-Winter Convention
The
Mid-Winter Convention will be held on January 18th, 19th and
20th. More information will be available at our upcoming meetings
and in next month’s newsletter. Make your plans now!
