OTHER CLUB NEWS & EVENTS
Our club will be holding a pancake breakfast on Palm Sunday (April 13) at
the Howard Lake Legion that the Lioness used to host. More details
in future newsletters.
The Easter Egg Hunt will take place on April 19th. Lion Duane Hass
will be the chairperson.
Our playground equipment at Lions Park needs repair. This is something that
we should think about as spring weather arrives. We could be ready
to replace the rope, rocks, and give it a new paint job.
Our Lions club will be holding a meat raffle every Saturday from 2:00 – 4:00
P.M. at the liquor store in HL. Lion Tim Oberpriller will be the chairperson
for this fundraiser. Lion Sam Gruenhagen advised that if the raffle
is going to work, it must be done every week. Also, thirty tickets
must be sold before you can spin the wheel. This fundraiser is a volunteer
position.
There will be now be a Super Bowl party at our meeting place on Sunday, January
26th at our meeting place. The fun begins at 2:00 P.M. There
will also be a potluck meal that day. All members, spouses, and guests
are invited.
Lions Terry Thorson and Vern Lemke have completed work in the closet (at
our meeting place) by installing shelves. Thanks to these two ambitious
Lions for their hard work.

LIGHTER SIDE
Why the English language is difficult to learn:
The bandage was wound around the wound.
He could lead if he would get the lead out.
The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.
When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.
The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
They were too close to the door to close it.
