5M-7 GRAM UPDATE
The next workday for the 5M-7 Gram has been set for Monday, November 4th at 6:30 P.M. at the Howard Lake Legion. Those Lion members interested in helping Lion Steve (5M-7 Gram Editor) with the newsletters should meet at the H.L. Legion at that time.  If we can have a large group of members helping, it should not take long at all.  If you haven’t helped out yet, now is a good time to do so. Hope to see you there!
HALLOWEEN PARTY
Our Lions club has agreed to sponsor the Halloween party starting this year.  In years past, the H.L. Lioness has done it.  The party will take place on October 31st from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at our meeting place.  Past members of the Lioness club will also be helping out. Costume judging will be at 6:15 P.M.  Please be there at 4:30 P.M.  Also, there will be a work night on Oct. 30th to help set up.  We will need help from as many Lion members as possible.  If you can make it on either or both nights, it will be very appreciated.  Lion Hazel Oberpriller is the chair.

OCTOBER—GROWTH MONTH
Two new members were inducted into our club during October Growth Month.  Congratulations are in order to new Lions Susan Grangroth and Karen Hill.  Lion Susan’s sponsor was Lion Cathy Rufer and Lion Karen’s sponsor was Lion President Tom Fiecke.  PDG Lion Darrell Main performed the installation.

ROASTERS
Since our roasters have disappeared, our club decided to purchase a new one to be used only at club functions and to be locked up when not in use.  Also, if you know or know someone on the whereabouts of the missing roasters, please return them no questions asked.

YOUTH/TEEN CENTER NEWS
We were closed most of the summer.  Since school is now back in full swing, so are we!  This year, Lion Linda Amman will be in charge of the center.  Helping Lion Linda will be Lions Cathy Rufer and Susan Grangroth.

We are planning to be open on Saturday nights from 6:00 until 10:00 P.M.

If you have any questions, please call Lion Linda at 543-2795.

We want to thank the Howard Lake Lions for providing us with a safe place for our youth in the community to meet.
