The second meeting will take place on Thursday, August 16th. A Board of Directors meeting will take place at 6:30 P.M with the business meeting to follow. Thanks to all the members who helped out at the Good Neighbor Days celebration in June.
Thanks to Lion Steve Weber for all his hard work in putting together our club’s golf tournament on July 14th. We had twenty-seven golfers who participated. A good time was had by all. Also, thanks to Lions Melmer and Renee Lahr for the use of their residence for our potluck meal and the awarding of prizes. Our club will be conducting this tournament again next year (no date has been set for this one). Our club will also be sponsoring and running a 4-player scramble golf tournament on July 13, 2002 at the Greens in Howard Lake.
Lion Matt Grindeland will be organizing a “members only” golf outing in the near future. Details will be forthcoming in next month’s newsletter.
Any Lion members interested in helping sell tickets at the Wright County Fair (Aug. 1 – 5) should contact Lion Dan Judd ASAP.
